1. Why would you purchase works of art on Collectionair?

Collectionair works with many partners around the world to offer you a varied choice of the highest quality artworks, all under $10,000. You will discover artists from new and exciting art scenes, hand-picked by our network of expert curators and Collectionair’s own in-house team. By purchasing on Collectionair, you are guaranteed a wide selection of artworks, all accompanied with their certificate of authenticity and shipped to your doorstep with care. 

 

2. Why should I join the Collectionair community?

By creating an account on Collectionair, you will have access to a number of advantages. Firstly, you will be able to purchase the works of art exhibited on our website and get them delivered to your doorstep. You will also regularly receive our newsletter which will keep you informed about exhibitions and art fairs happening in the countries we cover, new exhibitions and works that Collectionair is hosting, plus advice from our network of curators on what to collect.

Finally, you will have access to special deals on our platform, including special discounts, access to exclusive pieces and exhibition previews.  

 

3. Can I buy the works of art listed on Collectionair and how does it work?

​Yes, you can buy artworks on Collectionair in a few clicks. All you have to do is to click on “buy” and inform our system of your country of residence. Our automated shipping calculator will then confirm your shipping costs and allow you to proceed with a secured payment.

After your payment is processed, you will receive an email from Collectionair giving you the name of the transporter, the package number and the approximate date of delivery. You will be able to track your order on your Collectionair account, or by reaching out to the Collectionair support team via phone or email. 

 

4. How long does it take to receive an item?

​Depending on the size of the item, and because Collectionair might be required to send you the item by cargo, it can take up to 20 days for you to receive your purchased item.

 

5. Can I return an artwork if it is damaged?

​Yes, you can return an item only if it is damaged and within 7 days of receiving it. In this case, Collectionair will reimburse the full amount, including the shipping costs. You will be required to provide the Collectionair team with an accurate proof of the damage (condition report and photographs).  

 

6. Can I return an artwork if I don’t like it?

​No, every sale made online is final. You can only return an artwork if it arrives damaged. The Collectionair support team should be notified within 7 days of delivery of your artwork. However, you can choose to rent your favorite artwork for one month in order to try it at home, which will give you the option to return it after one month. In such a case, please reach out to info@collectionair.com

 

7. How do I know that what I am buying is an authentic work of art? 

Every work on Collectionair is an authentic work of art. This is verified by the curators who bring the artists to the platform. With your shipment you will receive a certificate of authenticity. 

 

8. Are all the works sold on Collectionair available?

Generally, all the works you can see on Collectionair.com are available for sale. However, there are two cases where you may be able to see a work but not buy it. 

Firstly, we keep an online archive of previous exhibitions. in this case you may come across a work which is therefore no longer on exhibition. If you are interested in this work please contact the Collectionair support team and they can confirm whether the work was previously sold or not, and whether it is still available. 

Secondly, if another Collectionair user has clicked to “buy” the work you are looking at, but has not yet confirmed their transaction online, the artwork will automatically be put ‘on hold’. Once the other user has either completed their purchase or chosen not to buy the work, you will see whether the work is available.  

 

9. I’m an artist or designer, how can I join Collectionair and sell my work?

Collectionair is open to all artists from the new and emerging art markets. However, those artists must come to the platform through a curator. Therefore, for an artist to sell their works of art on Collectionair, they can apply online on Collectionair, in the “List your artwork” section.

 

10. Is there a selection of partners (foundations, art schools, etc) exhibiting on Collectionair, as well as curators?

Yes, there are a selection of art schools and other art foundations and projects represented on Collectionair. Our goal is to exhibit as many art partners as possible on our platform, but we make sure to choose carefully to ensure the quality of the art works. 

 

11. How are works on Collectionair priced?

All the works of art exhibited on the website are sold at the artist’s selling price. The buyer does not pay any additional commission for buying the work on Collectionair.com. 

Shipping costs are not part of the price shown, but are communicated to the buyer automatically at checkout. Depending on your delivery address and different taxation rules, additional charges may apply. Those charges will be presented and confirmed by you before you are charged.

13. Can I pay for my artwork via bank transfer rather then online?

Yes, you can. In this case, please email us at info@collectionair.com and we will be happy to assist you in your transaction.
