Flora Fairbairn is an independent curator and art advisor, based in the UK. Since 2000, she has been producing exhibitions in various non-gallery, architecturally interesting locations. Flora has a reputation for having discovered and launched the careers of a multitude of artists, placing their work in a wide range of private and public collections around the world. Locations where Flora has curated exhibitions include La Casa Encendida, Madrid, The Museo del Ron in Havana, Cuba, a derelict building on the river in Kings Cross, London and in vaults underneath the courtyard of Somerset House, London. In Cuba she launched a contemporary art program for Havana Cultura, with the aim of supporting emerging Cuban artists. She sits on various arts industry panels and committees and is passionate about identifying and supporting talented artists whose work should be seen by as wide an audience as possible.
