Christine Callahan is an artist and native New Yorker. She earned her MFA from the International Center of Photography - Bard College, New York and her BFA from the School of Visual Arts, New York. Her photographs have been exhibited at the Musée de l'Elysée, Switzerland, the LiShui Museum of Photography, China, Context Gallery, Northern Ireland, Tactile Bosh Gallery, Wales and Aperture Gallery, New York. Sections from her project, 58 Empress Pines Drive were published in the Aperture book, ReGeneration 2: Tomorrow’s Photographers Today. She presently teaches photography at the International Center of Photography and the Art Institute of Pittsburgh - online division. She writes for the online contemporary photography platform LensCulture and her writing has been published in Gay City News. She lives in New York City.
