LENI DOTHAN

Leni Dothan is a London-based artist, architect, and researcher whose reconstructions of biblical, classical, and mythological fables ask observers whether humanity's storied history is an ideological prison for women. By including her own alternative pictures placed alongside these reconstructions, Dothan flips their classical meaning, revealing morbidity in place of perfection. Obliteration, silence, and disappearance from collective memory are among many common human fears recurring through her work. Dothan has been featured in group shows at numerous international galleries and auctions.
