DAVID SCHER

David Scher (Missouri, United States, 1952), is a New York-based artist who produces ink and mixed media paintings on canvas, linen, paper, and cardboard. His works commonly feature unsecured vignettes of human figures, animals, and domestic objects, all woven together by elaborate doodles. The result is Scher's own allusion to Picasso and Van Gogh; vivid, sensational images impossible to produce an exact reading from. His work has been shown at the Pierogi Gallery in New York, and is featured in a permanent collection at the Museum of Modern Art in New York.
