PAUL-ARMAND GETTE

Paul-Armand Gette (Lyon, 1927) is a Paris-based photographer, film-maker, writer, and sculptor. His best-known works are his nude art, specifically his several portrayals of women's underwear in photographs, paintings, and drawings. These depictions stem from an obsessed will to lay forth nature's poetic dimensions. Whether he ever found the perfect incarnation of his nature-woman is unclear, though decades of viewers have enjoyed the drafts. Gette has been shown at Il Filatoio, Caraglio (2012); Musée Rodin, Paris (2011); ASI Museum, Reykjavik.
