Born in: Brazil

Ding Musa (São Paulo, Brazil, 1979) questions the societal role of art through his photography, installations, and sculptures. The almost manic sense of precision and equality (as seen, for instance, in the geometrical forms of varying complexities present throughout his work) are a reflection of Musa's penchant for parallelisms and mirror images. His art seeks to bring the viewer directly into the process itself, their perception of the piece being the spark that gifts it with meaning. Musa's works have been displayed at a number of Brazilian galleries and museums, including Museu de Arte Contemporânea da Universidade de São Paulo, Museu de Arte do Rio Grande do Sul, and Salão de Arte de Ribeirão Preto.
