Augustin Steyer (Maisons Lafitte, France, 1987) is a Paris-based multimedia artist whose paintings, drawings, collages, and photographs directly question the relationship between man and his environment. After studying at Beaux Arts de Paris, the young artist started with original installations, archive images, and found objects before settling on his current media. Steyer's best works face his observers with the paradox of consciousness dwelling within an environment, allowing them to note the point where experience and representation no longer connect. His recent exhibitions include La main qui dessinait toute seule, Galerie Magda Danysz, Paris (2016); HONORE #2, Galerie Rue Visconti Private Choice, 3ème édition - Sélection OFF FIAC (2015).
