Isa Chulandim was born in Iran in 1976, where he lives and works. He studied Visual Arts (with a scholarship) Graphic design and has also completed a MFA in Art and Architecture.
The multi-disciplinary artist works in photography (for which he has won prizes), produces small clay sculptures and is also a painter. As a painter, he frequently experiments with lines, creating images which oscillate between figurative and abstract representations. Since September 2013, Chulandim has conducted research on the cult of the wild boar in ancient cultures, resulting in the works exhibited here at Collectionair.
Chulandim has also participated in several solo and group shows and has taught in various art schools and institutions in Iran. He also is the curator of the Iraninan artist collective Mezh Art Group. The artist has written fifteen books about Art Materials, and one of them, Art Materials and Tools (Part II), won the prestigious first prize from the Festival of Educational Books in Roshd.
