Photogram on fiber based paper.
24 x 18 cm.
In this series, Markus Amm used the old technique of the photogram, a camera-less process first used by Man Ray and Moholy Nagy. Objects are placed on a photosensitive surface and briefly exposed to light to create an "x-ray" type image, an inverted shadow outline of a certain form. Amm's geometrical compositions "drawn with light" are also reminiscent of abstract and cubist paintings.
