Sarah Macdonald (b. 1977) lives and works in London, received her BA from Goldsmiths in 2000 and her MFA from the Slade School of Fine Art in 2009. Sarah’s painting manipulates scale, perspective and gestural marks to break-down the hierarchy of objects and surfaces. This allows for a considered exploration of the contours and the edges of familiar and misremembered spaces and objects. Recent exhibitions include Creekside Open selected by Alison Wilding, London (2017), Drawing Biennial, Drawing Room, London (2017). Solo presentations include ‘Going! Going! Gosh!’ Show Home Gallery, London (2016). Sarah was a Research Associate for the Discourse Project for Post Graduate Painting at the Slade School of Fine Art (2015/2016).
