Mouhammad Mouselli (Syria, 1989) is a Berlin-based painter who works with paper and various mixed media including ink, watercolor, pencil, charcoal, pastel, and acrylic paint. Mouselli's paintings show an aptitude for blurred, anthropomorphic renderings of landscapes; the curve of a hill merges into an outreached human arm as the sun pulses red overhead. A young force in the abstract arts, Mouselli's primary showing to date has been at his graduation exhibition at Damascus University.
““I’m trying to think about nothing. You destroy time… you don’t know why, you’re just trying to compose, figure out, catch something, trying to let it go. It’s life, it’s living.””
Mouselli's primary showing to date has been his graduation exhibition at Damascus University.
Mouselli received a Bachelor’s degree in Fine Arts from Damascus University (2007-14).
