Martina Bacigalupo (Genoa, Italy, 1978) is a freelance photographer who often works in collaboration with a number of international NGOs, such as Amnesty International, Human Rights Watch, and Handicap International. Bacigalupo studied literature and philosophy before enrolling in photography at the London College of Communication. Her photographs are often focused on the living conditions and social perceptions of women in Southern countries. Publications such as Internazionale, Esquire, Sunday Times Magazine, Elle, Jeune Afrique, and Io Donna have featured Bacigalupo's pictures.
Bacigalupo studied photography at the London College of Communication.
Bacigalupo won the Canon Female Photojournalist Award in 2010.
