Nicolas Delprat (France, 1972) studied painting under the artist Bernard Frize at the Ecole Nationale Supérieure des Beaux arts de Lyon. His unique production method includes applications of acrylic pigments on polyester canvas, primed in black. Of course, these are used among a series of experimental techniques. His pictures snap poignantly at the surface, their color and elements contrasted to form an identifiable sensory-numbing pattern. His works have been shown at a number of international galleries, including Hybrid, Bidart, France (2012); Chelsea Space, London (2006); Civic Art Gallery, Japan (2000).
