Norberto Roldan (Philippines, 1953) is a multimedia artist working at the forefront of cultural artistic practice in the Philippines. He is the current artistic director of multi-disciplinary platform Green Papaya Art Projects and founder of seminal artists collective Black Artists in Asia, a Philippines-based group with a focus on politically and socially progressive practice. Roldan's own productions, often made using old photographs and magazine clippings, are rich with useful observations on the cultural state of his country. His original artwork has been featured in solo exhibitions at Tate Modern, London (2010); Now Gallery, Manila (2011 and 2012); Magnet Gallery, Manila (2007).
