David Tremlett (Cornwall, United Kingdom, 1945) is a sculptor, installation artist, and photographer who currently works from Hertfordshire, England. Tremlett's approach shows his interest in temporarily-based, site-specific works, an inclination derived from his years spent traveling. His pastel-rendered room installations are sizeable arrangements of color and shape meant to alter the way the viewer perceives texture and dimensions. Picasso-esque, color-filled geometry runs through his pastel work, and his large-scale outdoor sculptures are displayed publically at the Capella Delle Brunate, La Morra Barolo, Italy, and the Church of St. Peter and St. Paul in Villenauxe-la-Grande, France.

““My work is not about layering new surfaces, but about adding to an existing surface, thus retaining it but renewing it.”” - DAVID TREMLETT
