India Dewar is a London-based artist whose paintings engage with the interplay between art and science, using recent discoveries in particle and astrophysics to comment on their popular perception. Having exhibited widely in London, Dewar's pictures have cemented her as a singular artist whose interests lie in the primordial. The curious synthesis between her paint and the natural symbols it's meant to convey gives her original artwork the impression of being created by nature itself. Exhibitions include Royal Academy of Arts, London (2016); St Martin's Gospel Oak, London (2015); Mount House Gallery, Wiltshire (2007).
Dewar's works have been shown at Royal Academy of Arts, London (2016); St Martin's Gospel Oak, London (2015); Mount House Gallery, Wiltshire (2007).
Dewar studied painting at the City and Guilds of London Art School (2009-12).
Dewar was the runner up for the Hix Award (2013) and was shortlisted for Bloomberg New Contemporaries (2012).
