Mohamed Hamidi (Casablanca, 1941) is considered a Modern Art precursor in Morocco. His adoration for art bloomed while living in Paris, becoming a graduate of the prestigious Ecole des Beaux-Arts and voraciously visiting the cities museums and galleries. Hamidi's main interest in his original artwork is representing African symbols, women's sensuality, and an intertwining of the two. Since 1958, he has participated in exhibitions in numerous auctions and institutions in Morocco and abroad.
